We're excited to announce that Symplicity Advocate 8.4 is now live! This October 2025 release brings powerful enhancements designed to make your daily workflow more efficient and give you better visibility into your caseload.
Building on the success of our Custom Forms feature, version 8.4 introduces two major improvements:
Save Custom Forms as PDFs – You can now generate and download PDF versions of any Custom Form directly from the card or list view. This makes it easier to share information, maintain physical records, or review data offline.
Custom Form Reporting – We've added a dedicated Custom Form Reports section in your navigation menu, giving authorized users the ability to create comprehensive reports on form data. This new functionality allows you to visualize trends, compare responses, and make data-driven decisions about student support initiatives.
All Stages Filter – In response to your feedback, we've added an "All Stages" filter option to the Cases list. This new default view lets you see all cases you have access to regardless of stage, making it easier to spot anything that needs your attention.
Flex Case Count Indicator – The much-anticipated Flex Case Count indicator is now visible in Student, Incident, CARE, and Title IX list views, providing quick access to case information right where you need it.
Summarize Assigned To Data – You can now summarize Assigned To (Staff) and Assigned To (Group) fields in both Custom Reports and Workflow Reports. These summaries can be added to dashboards and downloaded, making it simple to visualize workload distribution across your team.
Delete Person Involved Integration – When you delete a Person Involved from a case, any associated Custom Forms are automatically removed as well. This improvement helps maintain data integrity and prevents orphaned records in your system.
We've also updated several areas of Advocate's architecture to improve stability, performance, and security. These updates won't change how you use the system but will enhance your overall experience.
