Building Cultures of Care and Accountability

A new wave of students will arrive on your campuses in September, struggling with move-in boxes and navigating to their residence rooms - but their experience will be markedly different. These students may not have stepped into classrooms since grade 10 and will not just be leaving home for the first time but adjusting from nearly three years of pandemic-driven social distancing or 'social limiting'.

Their jump from high school to university or college is more significant than ever, layered with unique psychological hurdles induced by a pandemic that transformed how they learn, think, and do.

In recognition of this and recent developments on post-secondary student conduct and student mental health globally, we invite you to prepare for next year at our upcoming Orbis X Symplicity Global Student Conduct Roundtable.

At this virtual roundtable, you will hear from leaders in the fields of trauma, mental health, student life, and student conduct, from Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, on:

  • How the pandemic has affected learners;
  • Pervasive student conduct issues (on-campus and within the fields of work of our guests);
  • Approaches and best practices to deepen support for these students; and
  • How to strategically build campus cultures of care and accountability, and more.

Join us, ask questions, and get answers meaningful to building considered approaches to student conduct for Fall 2022. This session is complimentary and open to clients of Orbis and Symplicity, friends, and colleagues.
