Account settings
How do I verify my email address?
Verifying your email address means your job postings can reach your target universities.
When you created your CareerHub Central account, we sent you an email with a verification link. If you can’t find it, log in to CareerHub Central and click the button to resend it to the email address on your account.
If you’ve changed your email address, log in, go to your account and update it. We’ll send a new email; click the link inside to verify your account.
Why should I use a corporate or company email address?
Many of our member universities review new contacts and job postings before students can see them. Using a corporate or company email address helps universities recognise you as a legitimate employer and approve your account request faster.
How do I update my email address and personal information?
Log in to CareerHub Central, click your name in the top right of the page and choose My Profile. Enter your new information and click Save.
Changing your email address? We’ll send a confirmation email to the new address. Click the verification link inside to complete the change. It can take up to eight hours; until then, keep logging in with your old email address.
If you see a message saying the email address is already in use and it’s your own unique company address, use the forgot password link on the login page to reset your password.
If it’s a shared team address (for example recruiting@example.com), check with your colleagues for the password before resetting it.
How do I change my employer information?
Log in to CareerHub Central, click your name in the top right of the page and choose Employer Profile. Enter your new information and click Save.
To send the update to your connected universities, click Publish Employer and Contact Profile. Universities may accept changes automatically or review employer updates in batches.

CareerHub Central UK terms and conditions
CareerHub Central UK is a job distribution platform that lets organisations register and distribute their job opportunities to its member universities for free. Once your organisation and job are distributed, each member university makes the final decision to approve, reject or edit your information based on its own local requirements.
Member universities may contact you directly to clarify details or to tell you more about their services to students. You can unsubscribe from these additional communications.
CareerHub Central UK endorses the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) Work Experience Standard and Good Practice Guide.
Pay and benefits
All jobs are reviewed to make sure they meet these minimum requirements for pay and benefits (except volunteering opportunities for charities and voluntary organisations; see below).
- All opportunities of at least 10 days (70 hours), including internships and sandwich placements or ‘Year in industry’ roles, must be paid at or above the UK National Minimum Wage (NMW), or the equivalent international figure for jobs based outside the UK.
- Pay must be stated in the job advert, either as a set figure, a reasonably narrow range, or by reference to the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.
- Avoid terms such as ‘competitive’ or ‘available on application or at interview’.
- Where pay is partly based on commission or bonuses, the basic rate must be stated and set at National Minimum Wage or above.
- Any exit fees linked to the opportunity must be clearly stated at the outset.
Volunteering opportunities
- Charities and voluntary organisations can submit volunteering (unpaid) opportunities.
- The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) explains the types of volunteering, defined as ‘unpaid time doing something to benefit others’.
- Please note: some member universities don’t accept volunteering opportunities, often because volunteering is managed outside their careers and employability service.
What CareerHub Central UK will not approve
- Insight experiences, days or weeks, typically offered by larger graduate recruiters to give prospective applicants more information about the organisation.
- Work shadowing opportunities, where students spend time observing an organisation’s working environment.
- Jobs that require any upfront payment, such as fees for accommodation, travel, equipment or other work-related expenses.
- Competitions or challenges seeking applications or submissions from individuals or teams.
- Events and training courses, whether free or paid.
For these kinds of events and activities, please contact the relevant member universities directly to ask whether they’ll promote them to their students on your organisation’s behalf.
