Partner Spotlight: Symplicity & It’s On Us

We are excited and honored to announce our new partnership with It’s On Us, a White House-led campaign to prevent campus violence and sexual assault. As a trusted technology resource to nearly 1,200 universities across the nation, Symplicity will aid the It’s On Us initiative by distilling valuable information to its internal workforce and customer base, social channels and network of influencers in the higher education space.

“Ending campus violence is such an incredibly important movement,” said Bill Gerety, CEO of Symplicity. “On behalf of the full team at Symplicity, we are greatly appreciative for the opportunity to partner with such an esteemed and important campaign, and look forward to doing everything we can to help raise awareness, foster engagement and inspire further change that will directly and positively impact our higher education customers and their students.”

Symplicity joins It’s On Us during the launch of the It’s On Us Spring 2015 Week of Action, which runs April 12th through April 19th. During this week, It’s On Us will champion their campus partners to engage with local communities through events, activities and discussions to raise awareness of and build momentum around the campaign. Last year, It’s On Us connected with more than 9,000 students through 261 events in nearly 40 states. This year, with the help and support of partners like Symplicity, the campaign aims to host 500 events across all 50 states in the U.S.

“It’s On Us is such an incredibly important movement, that has made – and will continue to make – a significant impact on the safety of our campuses,” said Higher-Ed Roadmap Coordinator Jen Wright. “At Symplicity, we’re excited and humbled to be part of this campaign as we do our part to help activate discussions in higher-education institutions across the nation.”
It’s On Us aims to fundamentally shift the way we think about sexual assault, by inspiring everyone to see it as their responsibility to do something, big or small, to prevent it. The campaign reflects the belief that sexual assault isn’t just an issue involving a crime committed by a perpetrator against a victim, but one in which the rest of us also have a role to play.
