SEEK and Symplicity connect university students with trusted jobs

SEEK, which includes Jobstreet and Jobsdb, has partnered with Symplicity to help graduate employers reach more of the right students across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore directly within the university careers platforms that students already use.

Through the partnership, Symplicity, which provides student success software to more than 1,300 universities worldwide, will enable participating universities to surface a curated set of early-career roles from SEEK directly within its careers platform. This means that eligible SEEK listings will appear where students are actively exploring career options, with no additional administration for hirers.

SEEK recently announced that it has built a targeted graduate offering on its market leading online employment marketplace, meaning that graduate opportunities will be easier to find and more visible via the SEEK platform.

Through the partnership, graduate and early-careers hirers will:

  • Reach significantly more students across key universities

  • Strengthen awareness of their organisation and graduate programs by showing up in the university channels students already trust

  • Save time by posting once on SEEK and appearing across multiple relevant university careers sites

The partnership is about simplifying the job search on both sides of the job market, says SEEK’s Head of Graduate segment, Rebecca Miller.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Symplicity. The benefits of this partnership are shared. We are able to bring career opportunities more directly to students within their university environment. Students will have peace of mind that these are roles from trusted employers and employers are able to better match with more suitable candidates without doubling up of workload.

“SEEK’s purpose is to help people live more productive and fulfilling working lives, and graduates will be able to take their first steps into their careers with confidence.”

For Symplicity, the partnership means that universities can offer students more quality early-career roles without adding work for careers teams.

“Students are increasingly exploring new career opportunities through the university platforms that they know and trust,” says CEO of Symplicity Matthew Small. “Our partnership with SEEK brings more quality early-career roles from trusted employers into our platforms, making it easier for graduate employers to reach the right students at the right time, and giving careers teams more to offer, with no extra effort.”

Victoria University (VU) in Melbourne was the first to have enabled the functionality, giving its students access to curated SEEK roles directly within the VU Jobs Portal.

“It’s been a fantastic opportunity to work with Symplicity to activate, test and pilot the integration. Since launching our broader VU Jobs Portal, we’ve seen fantastic student engagement, with more than 5,700 students accessing the platform, job views more than doubling and over 1,000 job applications,” says Amy Liston, Director Student Success and Employment at VU.

The full integration is expected to roll out to universities across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore in the coming months.
