It’s no secret that there are environmental impacts of hosting SaaS solutions. Data centers, where the websites that we use everyday, can use an enormous amount of energy and cause carbon emissions.
Symplicity on AWS
In 2019, Symplicity moved from self-hosting all client solutions, to creating a Virtual Private Symplicity Cloud within the Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud Infrastructure. This move to AWS lined up with sustainability goals for the company. Our move enabled us to take advantage of the following facts:
Symplicity is excited to be working with AWS to bring you your solutions. AWS is focused on their long-term commitment to 100% renewable energy usage. Currently, AWS is at 50% renewable energy usage. We are committed to helping AWS bring that goal to fruition by continuing our partnership with them.
