Symplicity UK partners recognised in the 2026 university rankings and awards

As we approach the end of the calendar year, what better time to look back at some of the exceptional achievements of our UK partners who have been recognised across university league tables and national awards. From top rankings to prestigious accolades, these successes highlight the hard work, innovation and dedication of HE professionals across the Symplicity community – and we’re so proud to be working with you.

This year, Symplicity partners have not only strengthened their position in the rankings, but have been honoured for their outstanding contributions to student success, employability and academic performance.

A spotlight on excellence

Among this year’s standout achievers are the London School of Economics, the University of Strathclyde, and Imperial College London, three institutions that exemplify leadership, innovation and excellence across higher education.

The London School of Economics (LSE) continues to set the bar for academic and employability excellence. Ranked 1st in The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026, LSE was also named both Russell Group University of the Year and University of the Year for Academic Performance. It achieved 4th place in both the Daily Mail University Guide 2026 and Guardian University Guide 2026, where it was also awarded University of the Year for Student Success and 3rd in the Complete University Guide 2026, with 2nd place for Graduate Prospects (On Track). These results highlight LSE’s focus on student outcomes, supported by Symplicity CareerHub, which plays a key role in connecting students to career opportunities and resources.

Also part of the Symplicity CareerHub community, the University of Strathclyde earned two national accolades this year. Recognised as Scottish University of the Year in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026. “for the strength of its graduate outcomes and its focus on skills and economic impact”, Strathclyde was also named UK University of the Year in Daily Mail University Guide 2026 and singled out as being a model 21st century university.

Imperial College London also enjoyed an outstanding year, being named University of the Year for Graduate Employment in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026 and securing 1st place in the Daily Mail University Guide 2026. Imperial continued to perform strongly across other rankings, achieving 6th in both the Guardian and Complete University Guides, while topping both Graduate Prospects categories (Outcomes and On Track). Imperial also celebrated global success being ranked 1st in the UK and Europe and 2nd in the world in the QS World University Rankings 2026

Imperial Business School, a long-standing Symplicity partner, continues to lead the way in career readiness and employer engagement through its use of Symplicity CSM. The platform enables the Business School to deliver data-driven insights, streamlined career services and meaningful employer connections, helping ensure every student is equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy.

Manchester Metropolitan University, part of Symplicity CareerHub community, has cemented its reputation as the UK’s most sustainable university, securing 1st place in the 2025/26 People & Planet University League. This achievement marks a record fourth time the University has led the national ranking, further reinforcing its position as a sector leader in environmental and ethical performance.
